NIL Services

Carolina is committed to offering the best experiences possible for all Tar Heel student-athletes – including Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) education and opportunities. The CAROLINA NIL Team meets regularly to discuss and manage NIL-related services and opportunities for UNC student-athletes, organize educational opportunities and properly apply the NCAA rules and ever-changing laws that regulate this crucial area.

To receive CAROLINA NIL services, student-athletes must disclose their NIL deals through the proper channels.

Student-Athletes may request creative services, graphics and social media to enhance their NIL deals once they have disclosed their deals through the proper channels.
Carolina student-athletes have unlimited access to our Director of NIL, Kara Cannizzaro, for personalized NIL and social media consultations. Industry leaders and outside experts are welcomed to campus to present to UNC student-athletes on branding, social media, financial literacy, taxes and more throughout the year.
Carolina Athletics has partnered with Gameplan, CompassNIL and Teamworks to provide a wealth of online courses tailored to student-athletes focused on financial literacy.
All student-athletes have access to photos through INFLCR to build their personal brands on social media.
The University has resources to provide tax education and legal support for student-athletes. Student-athletes should email uncnil@unc.edu to learn more about tax and contract education.

The NCAA has created an NIL platform to provide educational resources for athletes, including agent and professional service provider registries and information related to disclosures.
